Activist complains about bad roads in city while Alexander Chunakov reports to Volgograd residents
Alexander Chunakov, the head of the administration of Volgograd, has reported to the public on the activities in 2015. Residents of the city, who came to listen to the report, asked questions, including those about the construction of new schools and organization of transport services. Activist Alexei Ulyanov asked a question concerning repair of roads. Alexander Chunakov found the above questions the most difficult ones.
The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports that at first, the audience watched a film about the achievements of the city-hero.
The information that "the year of 2015 was marked in Volgograd by large-scale repair of roads" and that in total, 45 km of roads were repaired, caused unhappy roar in the hall.
Alexander Chunakov called the issues of "effective transport services and state of roads in the city" "the most difficult questions." According to the official, "an integrated transport scheme will be launched this year."
The authorities of the region are developing the concept of the development of public transport, providing a significant reduction in number of en-route taxi on the streets. According to the proposal of the Ministry of Transport, the new strategy should be based on trams, trolley buses, suburban trains, and buses of large capacity.
Alexei Ulyanov, the leader of the "Public Independent Inspection", has asked the head of the city administration several questions. "When will we start driving on good roads and walking along clean sidewalks? When can we see a green city? When will we promptly remove defects on the roads and comply with GOSTs (Russian state standards), sets of rules? When does the administration start to interact with NGOs?" asked Alexei Ulyanov.
