Mitrokhin fined after calling for Kadyrov's resignation
Today, a court in Moscow has fined Sergey Mitrokhin, the former leader of the "Yabloko" Party, finding him guilty of violating the rules of holding mass events.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on January 26 Sergey Mitrokhin, a member of the federal political committee of the "Yabloko", and Anton Antonov-Ovseenko, the head of the Moscow's public reception office of the party, were detained after trying to hold a picket for resignation of the head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov near the Russian presidential administration.
Today, the Tverskoy Court of Moscow has fined Sergey Mitrokhin by 10,000 roubles for an attempt to hold a non-sanctioned picket with a demand to dismiss Kadyrov, the "Interfax" reports.
The court found Mitrokhin guilty under Part 5, Article 20.2 of the Russian Administrative Code (violation by a participant of a public event of the order of holding a mass action), the TASS reports citing the press service of the court.
