Parishioners of Derbent mosque are put by power agents on database

Today, power agents have checked the parishioners of the Salafi mosque, delivered to the police of Derbent, by their database, questioned them about the reasons for their visiting the mosque, and then released them. Those, who had not been registered earlier, were recorded on special cards, said one of the detainees.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that today in the afternoon law enforcers detained en masse the worshipers, who were going to the prayer at the Salafi mosque located in the neighbourhood named "Airport". The spokesman from the Derbent GOVD (City Interior Division) said that all of them have already been released.

A law enforcement source said that over 30 persons have been taken to the Derbent GOVD.

Let us remind you that on February 9 Gadjirasul, the Imam of the "Airport" mosque was detained. He is suspected of illegal detention of a woman from Derbent and her child. Parishioners held an action at the GOVD demanding to release the Imam. On February 10, they held another action, which, according to the parishioners, was dispersed by power agents, who detained at least 20 of them; but on the same day all of them were released.
