Shikhavov and Khamutaev wanted on suspicion of killing law enforcers in Dagestan

Azamat Shikhavov and Zavur Khamutaev, defendants in the case of the murder of a Moscow policeman, are wanted on suspicion of committing similar crimes in Dagestan. According to the authorities, at home, both men are well-known as active members of the armed underground.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on November 6, policeman Victor Razudalov was killed in Moscow while he tried to check the documents of three men. Ruslan Parsilaev, a native of Babayurt, was detained on suspicion of killing Victor Razudalov, and his countrymen Azamat Shikhavov and Zavur Khamutaev were put on the wanted list.

Zavur Khamutaev was a member of the organization "Imarat Kavkaz", recognized in Russia as extremist. This has been reported today by Denis Merkulov, Chairman of the Commission on Civil Society Development and Human Rights of the Council at the Permanent Representative Office of Dagestan.

According to the law enforcement bodies, Azamat Shikhavov, known under the nickname "Sheikh", was one of the leaders of the "Babayurt" militant grouping, and, in particular, he was involved in the murder of Police Captain Rasul Kachmasov committed on August 22, 2012. In total, the murder involved three men, and two of them were later killed by law enforcers. For some time, Azamat Shikhavov was also listed among the dead men; however, later, it became known that he was alive and left for Moscow, the "Moskovsky Komsomolets" reports with reference to the Dagestani police.
