Militant's widow wounded in CTO in Nazran

During a counterterrorist operation (CTO) in Nazran, Leyla Chemurzieva, who, according to the Russian National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC), was linked with a militants' grouping acting in the territory of Ingushetia, was wounded. A ready-to-use improvised explosive device (IED) was found the casualties' car.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on October 31, in the course of a CTO, two men were killed – Beslan Makhauri, the leader of the militants of the Sunzha District, and Ilyas Vedzizhev, the leader of the "Nazran" grouping. According to the NAC, Makhauri was also a confidant of Doku Umarov, the former head of the North-Caucasian underground.

In the course of detention, Leyla Chemurzieva, born in 1984, the widow of the slain former active member of the underground Tachiev, who acted as militants' liaison, was wounded, the TASS reports referring to the NAC.

According to power agent, the persons suspected of involvement in an illegal armed formation (IAF) opened fire on policemen and were killed. The above woman, who was with them, tried to break in a car through the police cordon, but was wounded.

Chemurzieva was taken under guard to one of city hospitals.
