Advocate Rustam Yunusov has filed a complaint to the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF), in which he has reported that his client Shamil Gazimagomedov was beaten at SIZO (pre-trial prison). Earlier, Shamil Gazimagomedov was found guilty in the case of the terror act in Pyatigorsk and sentenced to 17 years of imprisonment in a high-security penal colony.

In his complaint, a copy of which is available to the "Caucasian Knot", the advocate has written that when he visited Shamil Gazimagomedov at the SIZO on October 23, he discovered that his client was severely beaten. According to Rustam Yunusov, during his visit, Shamil Gazimagomedov could hardly stand on his feet.

Advocate Rustam Yunusov has informed the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that on October 24, he filed a complaint addressed to the Chief of the ICRF's Investigating Department for the Stavropol Territory with a request to institute criminal proceedings against the persons who used violence against his client Shamil Gazimagomedov and to conduct a forensic examination to determine the severity of his client's injuries.

According to the advocate, the forensic examination should be conducted in the nearest future, since there are fears about the health state of Shamil Gazimagomedov.
