Resident of Khasavyurt claims being tortured by law enforcers

Djamal Razhitkhanov, suspected of aiding and abetting militants, has written a complaint, in which he reported on torture and pressure to waive services of advocates.

The interests of Djamal Razhitkhanov, a resident of Khasavyurt, detained on October 2 are represented by advocate Sapiyat Magomedova. On October 4, Djamal Razhitkhanov was arrested by the court for ten days, the "Caucasian Knot" was informed by Sapiyat Magomedova.

According to the advocate, formally, she is not allowed visiting her client; however, on October 5, she managed to enter the building, where Djamal Razhitkhanov was kept.

Djamal Razhitkhanov has handed over to Sapiyat Magomedova his complaint addressed to the investigator, in which he reports the use of torture against him and demands to waive his defenders. A copy of the compliant is available to the "Caucasian Knot".

In his complaint, Djamal Razhitkhanov asks the investigators to send him for medical examination, since his body bears signs of beating.

"On October 2, 2015, I went by bus to Krasnodar. However, in Kizlyar, I was removed from the bus and brought to Khasavyurt," writes Djamal Razhitkhanov in his complaint. And he continues: "They began to beat me and torture me with electric current, and during all the way, a plastic bag was on my head."

In his complaint, the suspect reports he is afraid that he will be further subjected to pressure.
