Head of Derbent Imam Yaraliev resigns
Imam Yaraliev, the head of the municipal formation "City of Derbent" has resigned, a source from the city administration told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent. The decision was made after the meeting of the head of Dagestan Ramazan Abdulatipov with Vladimir Putin, said Milrad Fatullaev, the director general of the RIA "Derbent".
"The statement is likely dated by today. This resignation is a voluntary-compulsory one," Milrad Fatullaev told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
In his opinion, the decision is caused by the general deterioration of the situation in the country.
"The US additional sanctions are in force; the economy weakens; and threats posed by the ISIL and Ukraine get intensified. In this situation, the authorities should strengthen the control in the country," said Milrad Fatullaev.
It is noteworthy that this February a criminal case was opened against Yaraliev in connection with the revealed cases of illegal disposal of land plots in the city; however, later this decision was reversed by the court.
