One of Yerevan protesters brought to administrative responsibility

The police have released the protesters detained in Bagramyan Avenue in Yerevan. One of them – Argishti Kiviryan said that he was brought to administrative responsibility.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that today, after the dispersal of the protest action against hike in electricity prices in Armenia, 46 protesters were taken to the police station.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent, as of 4:14 p.m. Moscow time, all the detainees were back at large.

According to the press service of the Police of Armenia, for disobeying a lawful demand of the police, Argishti Kiviryan, a civil activist and a coordinator of the News Agency "ArmToday", was brought to the administrative responsibility. Kiviryan himself believes that the authorities pursue him "for excessive activeness".

As reported by Stepan Safaryan, a political analyst and a former MP of the National Assembly of Armenia, one detainee refuses to leave the police station "Arabkir", demanding from the police to send him to medical examination.

Besides, David Sanasaryan, the coordinator of the sit-in strike in Bagramyan Avenue, was taken from the police station to hospital with a suspected brain concussion, Nikol Pashinyan, an MP of the National Assembly of Armenia, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent. He believes that the police used force when detaining the activist.
