Football fans beat up their Azerbaijani colleagues in Tbilisi

After the match "Dynamo"-"Gabala", Georgian fans trampled on the flag of Azerbaijan, which they took away from the beaten Azerbaijani fans. During the match, Georgian fans hang out a banner with a provocative hint about the belonging of two regions of Azerbaijan to Georgia.

The above match "Dynamo"-"Gabala" took place in Tbilisi on July 2 and was won 2:1 by the Georgian club. Then, a group of Georgian fans beat up four Azerbaijani fans, the Azerbaijani party asserts.

Irakli Garibashvili, the Prime Minister of Georgia, has ordered his Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) to investigate into the incident.

According to the Azerbaijani party, the police was idling at the moment of the incident.

In its turn, Azerbaijani Federation of Football Associations (AFFA) has demanded from Georgia to apologize for the beating of the fans of the "Gabala" FC.

In its statement, the "Dynamo Tbilisi" FC said that "the team is completely dissociating itself from and condemning the yesterday's incident accompanied by physical violence and insult of the symbols of a friendly country." Prime Minister Garibashvili also said about his "concern about the incident."
