Over the past two days, at funerals and the tomb of the Speaker of the Parliament were visited by thousands of people, a source from the office of the head and the government of the republic told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent. Delegations from regions of the North-Caucasian Federal District (NCFD) and neighbouring countries came to pay tribute to the deceased leader of the parliament.

In 2000, Abdurakhmanov joined the Chechen government and took the post of the Minister of Agriculture. In 2005 he was elected an MP, and then – the Speaker of the Chechen parliament, where he worked for 10 years.
