Dagestani Prosecutor dismisses two of his subordinates who are under investigation

Two staff members of the Dagestani Prosecutor's Office have been dismissed by the order issued by the Public Prosecutor of Dagestan. Farid Khanamirov, the dismissed Supervising Assistant Prosecutor of Makhachkala, is charged with an attempted murder and arms trafficking. His colleague Stepan Sviridovich, Senior Assistant Prosecutor of the Tarumovka District, is accused of accepting a bribe.

On August 13, in the village of Yarag-Kazmalyar of the Magaramkent District of Dagestan, a fight occurred, in which a weapon was used. As a result of the fight, a local resident was injured. Farid Khanamirov, the Supervising Assistant Prosecutor of Makhachkala, who has been detained after the incident, is charged with an attempted murder and arms trafficking. Law enforces are searching for two other suspects. According to investigating agencies, Farid Khanamirov shot a local resident, who had a conflict with his sister.

Following the results of the official investigation, on August 14, the Prosecutor of Dagestan issued the order to dismiss Farid Khanamirov from his post of the Supervising Assistant Prosecutor of Makhachkala. Farid Khanamirov was dismissed for violation of the prosecutor's oath and commission of the offence, which discredit the prosecutor's honour, the official website of the Dagestani Prosecutor's Office reports.

Stepan Sviridovich was detained on July 14. According to investigators, he has received a bribe in the amount of 100,000 roubles from a staff member of the Limited Liability Company (LLC) "Barakat" for refusal to bring her to administrative responsibility.
