Sochi residents complain about inaction of public utilities in elimination of breach in water pipeline
In Sochi, residents of an apartment building located in Tsvetnoi Boulevard complain about a breach in water pipeline that occurred near their house. However, their addresses to the emergency services of the "Sochivodokanal" did not help solve the problem.
"Residents have repeatedly called the hot line of the Sochi Mayor and Limited Liability Company (LLC) 'Sochivodokanal'. However, no one responded." This was told to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by Galina Zakharova, a representative of the house committee of the house No. 42.
Residents of the apartment building located in Tsvetnoi Boulevard claim that this is the third similar accident on their street in this year, when cold water flows out of the ground and pours on the sidewalks.
In Sochi, apartment buildings were built long ago, and their pipelines are in poor condition. This was told to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by Tatiana Krynkina, a resident of the house located in Tsvetnoi Boulevard. "Old pipes started leaks. They got breaches everywhere. Teams of repairmen are working hard. They consist only of several workers," Tatiana Krynkina said.
Earlier, the municipal water pipeline was privatized, and the city administration has no right to interfere in its operation. This was told to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by officials from the Sochi administration.
In turn, officers of the "Sochivodokanal" reported that because of the large number of such breaches in city water pipelines, emergency crews do not have enough time to service all calls in due time.
