Yerevan activists demand legal assessment of Maidan from international community

In Yerevan, dozens of people organized a march of solidarity with the Euromaidan. They walked from the Victory Park to the building of the Ukrainian Embassy in Armenia, where activists expressed their concern about the developments in Kiev.

The marchers chanted: "Glory to Ukraine – glory to heroes!" and held posters with the inscriptions: "Putin, go home from Kiev!", "We all are in Maidan!", "March 1 approaching – same situation in Kiev!", "March 1 in Ukraine!", "Fall of Yanukovych is start of fall of Serzh!", etc.

In their speeches, the participants supported Maidan activists, "who fight for freedom and independence of Ukraine, and condemned the Ukrainian authorities, which use violence against demonstrators."

The publicist Zaruhi Ovannisyan told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that "six years ago, on March 1, Armenia lived through a similar tragedy; and we can draw parallels between the events of March 1, 2008, in Armenia and the today's ones in Ukraine; so it's impossible to stay indifferent, seeing the bloodshed."
