OC "Sochi-2014": problem of queuing for tickets settled
The problem with queues for tickets formed by fans who want to get to the events of the Winter Olympics in Sochi has been resolved, said Alexandra Kosterina, the vice-president of the Organizing Committee (OC) "Sochi-2014". She promised that the operation to buy a ticket would take no more than 20 minutes.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that starting from November 10, 2013, Olympics tickets are sold at ticket offices in Moscow and Sochi. Earlier, the tickets for opening and closing ceremonies, as well as to sporting events could be purchased only at the official website of the OC.
After the start of the Winter Olympics in Sochi, information appeared in some media and social networks that many fans spend several hours in queues for getting tickets to Olympic competitions.
Let us note here that earlier the blogosphere was actively publishing evidence about the queues at the ticket offices in Sochi. Thus, Kirill Blagov, the author of the blog on the portal Sports.ru had personally waited for several hours prior to get inside the ticket centre, located next to the Olympic Park. According to his story, the people standing in a queue expressed not only dissatisfaction, but also bewilderment, with the work of the organizers of the Winter Games.
Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" quoted Ms Kosterina that empty stands at Olympic facilities in Sochi are filled in by volunteers.
