ICRF: terror act in Volgograd committed by female suicide bomber

According to the preliminary information, the terror act in the Volgograd bus was committed by a female suicide bomber. This was reported by the Investigating Department of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) for the region. As a result, at least five persons were killed and at least 20 persons were injured, and the state of health of seven of them is estimated by physicians as grave.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the explosion in the LiAZ bus occurred on Monday afternoon. The terror act was committed by a female suicide bomber, who recently converted to Islam and was the wife of one of the leaders of the criminal grouping. This was reported by the "Interfax" with reference to the Investigating Department of the ICRF for the region.

An explosive device was activated in the bus of the route "State University-Cinema 'Yubileiny'" when it stopped at the bus stop "Lesobaza" located in Lazorevskaya Street.

At present, specialists and bomb technicians are working at the place, and after they complete their work, investigators will start more detailed examination of the place.

A criminal case was instituted under three articles of the Criminal Code Part 3 of Article 205 (terror act), Part 2 of Article 105 (murder), and Article 222 (illegal arms trafficking).
