Azerbaijan: NCDF plans to hold protest against election outcomes on October 20
The National Council of Democratic Forces (NCDF) of Azerbaijan has planned to hold on October 20 a protest action with a demand to cancel the results of the presidential election and appoint a new election.
The NCDF plans to hold the rally at the stadium of the sports recreational complex located in the Yasamal District of Baku. The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent has learnt about it from Gyulaga Aslanly, an authorized representative of the former candidate Jamil Gasanli. According to his information, a notice to the Executive Power of Baku was sent on October 14.
Gyulaga Aslanly has noted that, in accordance with the law, the Baku City Administration is to respond to the notice no later than on Friday, October 18. He has also reported that the electoral headquarters prepare the documents to challenge the election results in court.
The rally of October 20 will be the second protest action organized by the opposition after the presidential election.
