Dagestani lawyer Sapiyat Magomedova reports threats for her participation in Yakubov's case
A policeman from the Khasavyurt GOVD (City Interior Division) has threatened Sapiyat Magomedova, who is defending the interests of the detained Rizvan Yakubov. The complaint about the threats has been sent to the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation, Sapiyat Magomedov told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
Let us remind you that a resident of Khasavyurt Rizvan Yakubov was detained on July 5. The police told the lawyer that Yakubov had been detained on suspicion of aiding militants. Sapiyat Magomedova was not allowed to visit Yakubov. After his detention, his relatives and friends blocked the highway Khasavyurt-Makhachkala, demanding his release.
Earlier Magomedova said that Yakubov was beaten by the police; and at his detention no protocol was drawn up. According to her story, after her conversation with the above policeman, she called the prosecutor's office of Khasavyurt, the republic's prosecutor's office and the investigating department for Dagestan of the ICRF and reported the threats she had received.
