US National Democratic Institute changes priorities in Armenia

The National Democratic Institute for International Affairs (NDI), the US, changes priorities of its work in Armenia. As reported by the press service of the Armenian National Assembly, this was announced at the meeting between NDI's officials and Speaker of the Armenian Parliament Artur Bagdasarian.

Earlier NDI put special emphasis on the holding of democratic elections in Armenia. Now the decision has been made to direct NDI's activity towards cooperation with political parties so that to promote their political and social potential. Participants pointed it was important that the Parliament and NDI cooperate in the process of reformation of the Armenian Election Code.
