Two participants of protest action against forest cutting in Kudepsta detained

In Sochi, two participants of the protest action against forest cutting in Kudepsta were detained for resisting the police. The activists have occupied the territory, where the Termal Power Plant (TPP) is under construction.

Let us remind you that today, the participants of the protest action against the construction of the TPP in the village of Kudepsta in Sochi, including representatives of the "Yabloko" Party, managed to enter the territory of the facility under construction. The activists went through the fence and set up tents. They want to see the documents that allow cutting of trees on the site of the assumed construction.

During the protest action, police officers detained activists Kirill Goncharov and Tatiana Romanova. Besides, they confiscated two tents. The police officers received reinforcement according to yet unconfirmed information, the place was approached by the OMON (riot police).

In their turn, the activists have seized the territory, where the TPP is under construction. The police try to disperse the crowd and state that the necessary documents are allegedly in the office of the developer. The participants of the protest action refuse to leave the territory of the facility, and they have written a complaint about illegal cutting of forest.
