Meeting in Gudermes devoted to explosion on Moscow metro

A meeting arranged by the district administration and leaders of the Chechen regional branch of the United Russia party was held on the central square of Gudermes on February 10.

Participants condemned the terrorist act in the Moscow metro and expressed a protest in connection with the ungrounded accusations against all the Chechens stated by several known politicians in the "Freedom of Speech" program broadcasted by NTV TV Company.

At the same time speakers passed over in silence the statement by Vladimir Putin on Aslan Maskhadov's involvement in the terrorist act, which the President made before obtaining investigation results. This statement gave rise to the anti-Chechen attacks on the central television to some extent.
