Relatives of persons killed in fight in Kizlyar block highway "Rostov-Baku"

In Dagestan, a protest action, during which relatives of the persons killed in a fight in Kizlyar blocked the federal highway "Rostov-Baku", continued during four hours.

The highway was blocked by the relatives of the persons killed in the conflict that occurred on March 18 in Kizlyar in Naberezhnaya Street. On that day, four persons died as a result of the incident. The participants of the protest action demanded the resignation of Andrei Vinogradov, the head of the Kizlyar District, whose bodyguards, according to the protestors, were involved into the armed incident. According to the Dagestani Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) the highway was blocked by 200-300 persons.

"After lengthy negotiations with representatives of the district law enforcement agencies and with the republic's authorities, the relatives of the victims have unblocked the highway. The traffic along it has been restored," the "RIA Novosti" quotes a source in the law enforcement agencies as saying.

At present, the "Caucasian Knot" does not have comments from the authorities of the Kizlyar District with regard to the demands voice by the protesters.
