Three suspected militants liquidated in Dagestan identified
On March 5, during the fire-fight in Dagestan, three suspected militants were killed; at present, all of them are identified. This was reported by the Information Centre of the National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC).
Alibek Omarov, who was put into the federal wanted list and who appeared in eight criminal cases of terror nature, was among the killed militants, the "Interfax" reports.
According to the NAC, Alibek Omarov was involved in the shelling of the Kizilyurt UVD (Interior Department) committed on March 11, 2011, in placing on January 11, 2012, of six improvised explosive devices (IEDs) in the way of a military column, then at their clearance an officer of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) was killed and eight servicemen were wounded, the RIA "Novosti " reports.
According to the National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC), Alibek Omarov headed the so-called "Kizilyurt grouping".
At the house where the suspected militants were hiding, an improvised explosive device with capacity of about 20 kg of TNT was also found.
