Gypsies to be deported from Grozny

Persons of Gypsy nationality will leave Grozny soon. The police are conducting raid actions to detain Gypsies, said Fatima Umarova, an inspector on minors of the Zavodskoy district police department. They are to submit explanatory applications and passport information. Virtually all Gypsies staying in Grozny are citizens of Tajikistan. District police departments of Grozny plan to hold a joint action soon to deport Tajik Gypsies from the territory of the Chechen Republic.
