Two officials detained in Dagestan for suspicion of bribery

On March, 1, two officials of the Administration of Karabudakhkent district of Dagestan were detained for suspicion of receiving a bribe to a sum of ten million rubles, the republican Ministry of Interior Affairs informed.

A forty-four-years-old Assistant of Head of Administration and a forty-nine-years-old Deputy Head of Administration of Karabudakhkent district were caught red-handed at the moment of receiving a bribe of ten million rubles for realization of a land parcel 8 hectares area in Karabudakhkent district in the office of "Rosselkhozbank" public corporation, the Ministry of Interior Affairs reported.

It should be mentioned that a source in law enforcement bodies of the republic stated that not an assistant but Head of the Administration of Karabudakhkent district of Dagestan himself and his Deputy were detained.

According to more precise data from a source in law enforcement bodies of Karabudakhkent district, other officials of regional Administration, too, were summoned to the investigators, including Head of the Administration and Head of the region, for clarifying the circumstances of the incident, RIA "Novosti" reports.

However, only an information of detention of Assistant and Deputy Head of regional Administration according to clause 91 "Reasons for detention of a suspect" of Code of Civil Procedure of the Russian Federation is placed on the web-site of the Ministry of Interior Affairs of Dagestan.
