Dagestani woman claims disappearance of her husband
Today, Rashidat Khalidova, a resident of the village of Chontaul, Kizilyurt District of Dagestan, has reported disappearance of her husband Akav Khalidov, 28.
"We were staying with my mother, who lives in Kizilyurt. At about 10:00 a.m. on February 29, my husband left in his VAZ-2109 car from home to the city centre to visit his sister Elmira and then to go to Makhachkala. At about midday, I phoned my husband, I heard the call signal, but someone was dropping my calls. At about 4:00 p.m., his mobile phone was already disconnected and was never switched on again. My husband did not reach his sister," Rashidat Khalidova told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
According to her story, on February 28, her husband was stopped by law enforcers. "My husband with his sister was at the central marketplace of Kizilyurt, where they were approached by policemen from the Kizilyurt ROVD (District Interior Division). They told them that his car was wanted, since he had failed to stop when demanded by law enforcers. My husband said it was not true. Then the policemen phoned to the ROVD and began clarifying the information; then they said that there was a mistake and that they mixed up the registration number of the car. On his way home he was stopped again at the Sultanyangiyurt patrol post, but then policemen let him go," said the woman.
She has emphasized that she had appealed to the appropriate authorities on the fact of disappearance of her husband. Akav Khalidov is a strictly practicing Muslim; he is registered with the police station, and he has a minor child.
In their turn, the policemen from the on duty unit of the Kizilyurt ROVD said that they knew nothing about the disappearance of the man.
