In Dagestan, local residents unblock Highway "Kavkaz"
In Dagestan, the Federal Highway "Kavkaz" near the village of Manas, which was blocked today by more than 500 persons, was opened. They demanded that the law enforcement agencies should solve the murder of their villager.
The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by the participants of the action that in the morning the village of Kakashura hosted a rally of local residents, who claimed that the police suspend an investigation into the murder of Alipasha Abusaidov, a resident of the village, which had been committed about a month ago. Then, the residents blocked the Federal Highway "Kavkaz" near the village of Manas.
Abidin Karchegaev, Deputy Chief of the Police of the Dagestani Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), arrived to meet the protestors, and after conversation the road was open. At 3:00 p.m. the protesters dispersed, the RIA "Dagestan" reports.
Let us note that late in the evening on January 29, in the village of Kakashura, unidentified armed persons in masks broke into a house of a local entrepreneur. The attackers tied up the man, his wife and his two children. The robbers demanded money and valuables. The entrepreneur refused. One of the attackers hit the man to his head with a hard object, and the man died in place from the injury.
After that, unidentified attackers stole 170,000 roubles, golden jewellery and fled in a car "Lada Priora", which belonged to the deceased man. The car was found on the outskirts of the village of Kakashura, the IA "FederalPress" reported on January 31. At that time the name of the deceased man was not published.
