In Astrakhan, bodies of eight deceased persons under rubbles of apartment building's porch identified

In Astrakhan, eight out of ten victims under the rubbles of collapsed nine-storey apartment building are identified, including three men and five women.

"Till present, bodies of ten persons are taken out from the rubble, eight of them are identified, and bodies of two persons are still not identified," reported a representative of the press service of the Southern Regional Centre of the Russian Ministry for Emergencies (MfE).

The examination of the rubbles is underway, and rescuers are already working at the basement. According to preliminary information, no more inhabitants of the apartment building were put into the list of missing persons, the RIA "Novosti" reports with reference to the MfE's spokesman.

Two children a 5-year-old girl and a 1-year-old boy who were supposed to be under the rubble of the collapsed building were found unharmed at their relatives' places, the "Interfax" quotes the press service of the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) as reporting.

Authorities have announced that all the inhabitants of the apartment building collapsed in Astrakhan will be relocated to new housing. The relevant costs will be included into the government's order to provide financial assistance to the victims and the families of the deceased.

The day of February 29 was announced in Astrakhan to be a day of mourning for the deceased.
