In Volgograd Region, educator detained on suspicion of beating a child

A six-year-old child was hospitalized unconscious into the intensive care unit of the Kotovo District of the Volgograd Region. The woman-educator of the family group is suspected for committing the crime, who, according to investigators, beat the child for his taking candies without a permit.

"Now the boy is in the intensive care unit of the hospital in Kotovo. He has a closed head-and-brain injury, intracranial haematoma and a grave brain contusion," said Natalia Kunitskaya, the senior assistant for PR of the head of the Investigatory Department for the Volgograd Region of the Investigatory Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF).

According to her story, the boy underwent a surgery; and his medical condition is estimated as grave, the "Vsyo Dlya Vas" (All for You) writes.

According to investigators, the incident took place back on February 22. On that day, Kotova, 35, who had taken six months earlier two young kids – a boy of six and a girl of three – into her foster family group, beat up the older child.

The woman was detained; now the issue is discussed of restricting her freedom by putting behind bars.

The detainee's position is not reported.
