Elbrus region launches "hotline" for tourists

In the Elbrus region (Kabardino-Balkaria), the "hotline" for tourists was launched. The local authorities have decided to create it based on monitoring of forums and chat rooms on websites of travel agencies.

"Thanks to forums, we were able to track suggestions, comments and complaints of vacationers in the Elbrus region; however, without official registration, issues remain unresolved. At present, when a 'hotline' started working, we promptly respond to all calls from guests of the resort and resolve them," stated Aslan Malkarov, Chief of Administration of the Elbrus District.

He believes that the development of tourism in the Elbrus region depends primarily on fast responses to questions and complaints of tourists.

According to Alisa Tarim, Spokesperson of the Elbrus District Administration, tourists actively use the new opportunity.

"Even foreigners already know the number of the 'hotline'," said the Spokesperson. "We received a phone call from Andreas Wagner, a citizen of Austria. He plans to visit the Elbrus District."
