Antonina Mayevskaya who disappeared in Sochi found assassinated

The body of the missing residents of Sochi Antonina Mayevskaya was found in Khosta, near the river. The suspect of the murder has confessed, said the investigator.

After Antonina Mayevskaya, the widow of the well-known cultural figure Iossif Mayevskiy, disappeared in Sochi, some unknown man settled in her flat in January. He did not answer the neighbours' questions about the fate of Mayevskaya.

Today, Maxim Bogdanovich, an investigator of the Investigatory Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF), told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that the citizen, who was in the flat of Mayevskaya, was arrested and is under investigative actions.

According to Bogdanovich, the man who settled in the flat was Viktor Vorobyov, a resident of Sochi, born in 1981, who confessed to of killing Antonina Mayevskaya.

According to the investigator, Vorobyov said he strangled the war veteran Mayevskaya in December 2011 in her flat, took out the body to Khosta and threw it out near the river. "After that he settled down in her flat," said Bogdanovich.

The "Caucasian Knot" has no comments of Vorobyov or his advocate on this information.
