In Moscow, in Chistye Prudy, a protest action "Mirzaev shall stay behind bars!" ended in detention of two persons by the police.

The rally was organized by nationalists and sanctioned by the authorities; the participants demanded to pass the verdict of guilty to the world champion mixed martial arts Rasul Mirzaev, accused of killing the 19-year-old Muscovite Ivan Agafonov.

According to the Moscow GUVD (Chief Police Department), the event was attended by about 200 people; 50 of them were journalists. The organisers claim that the rally was about 1000 strong.

The gathered young people chanted "Russia for Russian!" and "Caucasians, go home!" Many of the protesters covered their faces with scarves and medical masks, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.

The detainees were two minors who tried to bring a fire stick, an air pistol and a knife to the rally, the "Interfax" reports.
