Inspectors are considering three versions of Ismailov's murder
The investigation has chosen three versions of the murder of Kurban Ismailov, Deputy Mufti of the Stavropol Territory. So far, they have no suspects. Today the religious leader was buried in his homeland.
"A plan of investigative actions has been developed; there are versions, which are now studied, namely: of course, a murder related to Ismailov's professional activities, a murder on domestic reasons, and a murder of hooliganism," Yuri Turygin, General Public Prosecutor of the Stavropol Territory told reporters today, the RIA "Novosti" reports.
Mr Turygin has noted that Kurman Ismailov had feared for his life; and the Governor offered him a bodyguard, but he refused.
At present, according to the prosecutor, all the correspondence of the deceased in withdrawn; his workplace is examined and his service activities are studied. The police took action to protect his family members, the "Interfax" reports.
