Doctors report improvement of Alla Djioeva's condition

The health condition of Alla Djioeva, the former South-Ossetian presidential candidate, hospitalized on February 9 with a hypertensive crisis, has stabilized, said Mairbeg Kokoev, Chief Physician of the Republic's Somatic Hospital.

"Alla Djioeva receives the whole volume of necessary medicines, treatment and care," Mr Kokoev has assured.

According to his story, in a day or two Alla Djioeva may be transferred from the intensive care unit to a ward of the ordinary therapeutic department.

The federal medical centre, located in Beslan, is ready to take Alla Djioeva for treatment as soon as she and her relatives are ready to come to North Ossetia. However, according to Mairbeg Kokoev, her relatives refuse to hospitalize Djioeva there.

"Every day we all come to the office; we still try to stick together and share news with each other. We learn about Alla's condition from the hospital, although nobody is still allowed to visit her. The intensive care unit is cordoned by OMON (riot police) fighters," a source from Alla Djioeva's office told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
