Prosecutor's Office of Dagestan finds whereabouts of residents, reported as missing by relatives

Svetlana Bogach, a resident of Dagestan, whose disappearance was claimed by her husband, is with her cousin in Moscow. Djabrail Nurulaev and Ramazan Gadjiev, whose kidnapping was reported by their relatives, were arrested for five days, after which Gadjiev was released, and in relation to Nurulaev a criminal case was initiated. This was reported by the Prosecutor's Office of Dagestan.

Let us remind you that Zaurbek Magomedov, a resident of the village of Guni, Kazbek District of Dagestan, applied to the police that his wife, Bogach, Svetlana Bogdanovna, born in 1990, on January 2 in the afternoon left home and never returned. The kidnapping by unidentified law enforcers of Djabrail Nurulaev and Ramazan Gadjiev, as earlier reported to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by Elena Denisenko, the representative of the Human Rights Centre (HRC) "Memorial" in Dagestan, was committed on January 10 near the village of Komsomolskoe, Kizilyurt District.

Missing woman from Dagestan found in Moscow with her relatives

On January 4, according to prosecutors, Zaurbek Magomedov brought his second application asking to stop the search of his wife Svetlana Bogach, because he had detected her whereabouts. Mr Magomedov pointed out that the woman had contacted him by phone and explained that she was in Moscow at his cousin's home and was not going to come back.

The employees of the division for the Kazbek District of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) received by fax an explanation of Svetlana Bogach herself that she was in Moscow, at home of her cousin; she was not going to come back to her husband and asked to spot her search.

Prosecutor's Office found no traces of beatings on detainees Gadjiev and Nurulaev

With regard to the disappearance of Gadjiev and Nurulaev, as reported by the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Dagestan, the check has established that on January 11 the magistrate judge of judicial precinct No. 62 of the Kizilyurt District ruled to impose a 5-day administrative arrest on them.

The ruling was passed, according to law enforcers, because on January 11, at about 00:40 a.m. Gadjiev and Nurulaev, while being in the outskirts of the village of Komsomolskoe, demonstrated disobedience to law enforcers, when the latter were engaged in performing their duties of protecting the public order. In the course of a personal search of Nurulaev, two grenades and two fuses to them were found and confiscated.

When the case was considered by the court, the detainees fully acknowledged their guilt and repented, the prosecutors report. On January 12, a criminal case was initiated against Nurulaev under Part 1, Article 222, of the Criminal Code (illegal possession of firearms and ammunition); while Gadjiev was released from the IVS (temporary detention facility) after serving his administrative arrest.

The Kizilyurt inter-district prosecutor's office made a check and questioned Gadjiev and Nurulaev for any physical pressure and violence applied to them by law enforcers. The detainees explained that no such facts took place; when they were examined, no traces of beatings were found on them, says the statement on the website of the Dagestani Prosecutor's office.
