Armavir SIZO bosses suspected of beating a Sochi resident

In Armavir, the head of the SIZO (pre-trial prison) No. 2 of the UFSIN (Department for the Krasnodar Territory of the Russian Corrective Service), and two deputy heads of SIZO divisions are suspected of abuse of power with use of violence. A criminal case was opened against them.

According to investigators, on January 5, a 30-year-old resident of Sochi came to the building of the SIZO aiming to deliver a parcel to his detained friend. He parked his car in the territory of the SIZO.

"The head of the SIZO told him that his car was parked in a wrong place and asked to remove it. When the man did it, in the opinion of the SIZO boss, the car was again within the guarded area. A conflict burst out among them," says the website of the Investigatory Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF).

According to the ICRF, in the course of the quarrel the boss called his subordinates, who brought the man in and began beating him.

As a result, the man received injuries of soft facial tissues and bruises and abrasions of the neck, which caused no harm to his health. The victim reported the incident to the investigatory department of the city of Armavir, the portal "Yuga.ru" reports.

Now, the SIZO boss is under recognizance not to leave, while his subordinates have been obligated to appear when summoned, the GTRK "Stavropolye" reports.
