In Astrakhan, guardian of seven children-invalids complains of attempt to take her pupils away

Vera Drobinskaya, a resident of the city of Astrakhan, who is taking care of disabled children from the Raznochinovskiy orphanage, reports about an illegal attempt to deprive her of all her pupils. According to Alla Vasilieva, Deputy Minister of Social Development and Labour of the Astrakhan Region, officials decided to temporary exempt Drobinskaya of her guardian's duty. while an application on her cruel treatment of the kids is being checked.

Let us note here that in 2007 Vera Drobinskaya took custody over eight children with disabilities from the Raznochinovskiy orphanage located in the Astrakhan Region, where, as reported earlier, 34 children died from different disease over the past 10 years. The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the Investigatory Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) held a check last year of the boarding school, but found no crime proofs on the above facts.

Vera Drobinskaya said that in the evening on January 16 a commission with an unscheduled inspection came to her home and acquainted her with seven orders of the Centre of Social Support of Population of the Trusov District of Astrakhan about "temporary release of Drobinskaya, Vera Olegovna, of her trustee duties" in relation to all her children (now she takes care of seven of them).

According to Vera Drobinskaya herself, it was an attempt to organize abduction of her children in order to exert pressure on her.

"None of the visitors from the Ministry of Social Development and Labour presented his or her ID; they concealed the true number of people who came, and refused to give their names. They flatly refused to be videoed and turned away from the camera," the woman said to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

According to her story, the officials who came to her home failed to present any documents that her pupils would be transferred to full state support. "They hid the address where they planned to take children at night, hid the license numbers of the cars and those organizations, where the cars were registered," said Vera Drobinskaya.

"I have no doubt that the whole case is an authorities' attempt to blackmail me through my children by means of intimidation, causing harm and psychological trauma due to the rupture of their only existing family ties - with me. This blackmail has to do with my work to protect orphans' rights," she said.

The official position of the Ministry of Social Development and Labour of the Astrakhan Region was announced to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by Deputy Minister Alla Vasilieva.

According to her version, the decision to temporarily release Drobinskaya from her duties of a guardian was made after on January 16 an application was received from citizen Vera Alexandrovna Zauer on facts of Vera Drobinskaya's cruel treatment of her cared children. The commission decided to temporarily release Vera Drobinskaya from the duties of a guardian, transfer the young children to the authority of care and guardianship and stop from February 1 of paying money on maintenance of children.

"However, she (Drobinskaya) refused to give her children away. The authority of care and guardianship has sent a claim to the Trusov District Court of Astrakhan on return of the minors; the investigatory bodies and the prosecutor's office were also notified. Currently, children are illegally kept by Drobinskaya, V. O., who had been temporarily released from performance of her duties," said Vasilieva.

Vera Zauer has refused to give any comments to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent on Drobinskaya.

Let us remind you that the Vera Drobinskaya is also challenging the court's decision, which after 9 years returned a disabled child to his biological parents.

In November 2001, Vera Drobinskaya was appointed guardian over a minor Ramazan Serazhitdinov, whom she took under her custody from the hospital, after his biological parents had failed to take him for almost 8 months. On May 4, 2010, the Trusov District Court of Astrakhan satisfied the claim of the boy's biological parents, cancelled the statement on the guardianship and ruled to return the minor Ramazan Serazhitdinov to his parents. The former trustee Drobinskaya did not agree with the court decision and the denial of her opportunity to see the child, and filed a complaint to the European Court of Human Rights.
