A well-known Ingush footballer killed in South Ossetia

Zelimkhan Dzangiev, a well-known goal scorer of "Angusht" Ingush football club, was killed in Vladikavkaz. According to unofficial information, it happened as a result of a scuffle near a night club.

According to eyewitnesses, on January, 14, Zelimkhan Dzangiev was coming out of a caf? with two friends when a quarrel among them and some unknown people sprang up and they beat up Dzangiev and his companions. All the three persons were hospitalized. Dzangiev died without coming out of coma. His two companions left hospital.

The footballer's relatives declined comment considering it untimely. According to them, "the circumstances of Zelimkhan Dzangiev's death are not quite clear".

A JiveJournal user under the nick of Tamerlan confirmed the information of the footballer's death. He added that Dzangiev was in the state of coma two days and on the third day he died.

Zelimkhan Dzangiev was a veteran of "Angusht" football club. He played over three hundred matches for the team and scored over 50 goals. Dzangiev worked as a children's trainer lately. The team won several prestigious tournaments under his guidance.
