"Caucasian Knot" announces winners of contest for best comments to its materials on Facebook

The results of the contest for the best comment of readers of the Internet edition "Caucasian Knot", available through the social network Facebook, are summed up. During the period from December 30, 2011, to January 12, 2012, readers voted for the posts, selected by the edition. As a result, the largest number of votes went to the comments made by Milana Dudaeva, Bekkhan Gelgoev and Ismail Aliev, who would receive prizes.

Out f the 848 comments, left by the readers on Facebook for the period from June 1 to December 7, 2011, the "Caucasian Knot" edition has included in the contest 12 comments, which, according to our opinion, contain three key factors: compliance with the topic, information content, and compliance with the "Caucasian Knot" rules.

Out of 12 comments, participating in the contest, 4 comments were devoted to the conflict in the North Caucasus, 2 comments to the theme of murder charges brought against Rasul Mirzaev, the world sambo champion. Two readers have commented on the situation in Chechnya. Readers of the "Caucasian Knot" on Facebook was interested in the significance of state power in Georgia, voting at the elections to the Russian State Duma on December 4, held at electoral precinct in South Ossetia, and the complexity of international relations in the North Caucasus. Another 4 comments, selected for the contest, were devoted to those topics.

According to readers' voting, Milana Dudaeva, who had commented on the publication "Chechen MIA: suspected suicide bombers killed during special operation in Grozny", became the winner of the contest.

"That's because of such operations against suspected suicide bombers, real suicide bombers appear," stated Milana Dudaeva. She gained 3943 vote, that is, 47.99 percent of the votes of those persons, who took part in voting.

The second place went to Bekkhan Gelgoev, who had commented on the twit broadcast of the voting at the elections to the Russian State Duma on December 4, 2011, that the "Caucasian Knot" performed out of Tskhinvali. "Before my eyes, a woman showed her daughter's passport," wrote Bekkhan Gelgoev. 2199 readers, that is, 26.76 percent of the total voters, voted for that comment.

1788 readers (21.76 percent of votes) voted for the message of Ismail Aliev, left by him in the discussion of the publication "Road traffic accident in Vladikavkaz turns into mass fight". "There, the situation is so inflamed that if any spark appears, incident can turn into a tragedy. Even I got troubles in Vladik[avkaz]: there, a saleswoman thought I was an Ingush and began to abuse me," stated the author, who took the third place.

The winners of the contest will receive prizes. Milana Dudaeva will be the owner of a digital camera "Kodak EasyShare M531". Bekkhan Gelgoev and Ismail Aliev, who occupied the second and the third places in the "Caucasian Knot" contest, will receive hard disks "Transcend 500 Gb" and "Transcend 320 Gb", respectively, as prizes.
