Flight from Egypt to Rostov-on-Don lands in Sochi because of fog

Today in the morning, an aircraft with about 200 Russian tourists, making flight from Egypt to Rostov-on-Don, was forced to land in Sochi because of fog at the destination airport. The passengers spent more than eight hours at Sochi Airport, took off for destination in the evening.

A passenger of the flight said that the air vessel landed in Sochi at about 10:00 a.m. Moscow time. "Throughout the whole day we received virtually no information; no meals and no hotel accommodation were provided," said the source.

According to his story, since the tourists were returning from their holiday, almost none of them had money left; many passengers were with children, the RIA "Novosti" reports.

At about 6:00 p.m., the passengers were invited onboard. The flight is serviced by the "Orenburg Airlines". So far, there are comments from the operator.

According to the inquiry desk of the Sochi Airport, the aircraft with Russian tourists took off to destination at 6:39 p.m. As later reported by the source, the vessel landed in Rostov-on-Don at 7:35 p.m.
