Nalchik attack trial extends defendants' custody by three months more

At the trial on the case of the attack on Nalchik, the court extended the detention period for 54 defendants for another three months. For three defendants Kazbek Budtuev, Zalim Ulimbashev, and Sergey Kaziev the pre-trial restrictions in the form of recognizance not to leave were remained unchanged. Besides, at the court session, the court listened to the testimonies of witnesses in the case.

Let us remind you that at the last court session held on December 20, the public prosecutors filed a petition to extend detention period for 54 defendants and change the pre-trial restrictions to Kazbek Budtuev, Zalim Ulimbashev, and Sergey Kaziev, who had been earlier released on recognizance not to leave. In their turn, lawyers Oleg Kelemetov, Lisa Shak, and Kanshoubi Gazhonov filed a motion to change the pre-trial restrictions to their client for those not connected with deprivation of freedom.
