In Georgia, activists of Labour Party hold disobedience action

Today, near the Palace of the President of Georgia in Tbilisi, the Labour Party held a disobedience action named "Let's spoil Mikhail Saakashvili's birthday".

Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" reported that on December 21, activists of the Labour Party will mark the birthday of the President of the country Mikhail Saakashvili with a protest action.

The protest action was attended by several dozen people, including representatives of some NGOs and political parties. Participants of the protest action held in their hands posters reading: "Another birthday in prison!", "Down with dictator!", "Let's return derogated dignity!" and other slogans.

The activists of the Labour Party brought to the protest action a symbolic two-meter scaffold made of two wooden sticks with a cross, at which the map of Georgia with the territories of Abkhazia and the Tskhinvali region marked with red colour was "hung". They presented it as a gift for Mikhail Saakashvili.

"We continue actions of disobedience to the current authorities of Georgia. Today is the birthday of Mikhail Saakashvili, and we wanted to spoil his mood. And we think that we succeeded, since we left a gift for him here," stated Soso Shatberashvili, General Secretary of the Party. According to him, "this is the way how Mikhail Saakashvili "has hung" Georgia, and we advices him to put the gift to his office," the "News-Georgia" reports.

The representatives of the opposition believe that the today's Georgia needs the government, which will establish relations with all centres in the world America, Europe, Russia," the "Georgia Online" reports.
