Young families receive housing subsidies in the capital of Kalmykia
Today in Elista, nine families have received certificates on the right to social payments for purchase or construction of housing. The documents have been issued as part of the city programme "Affordable housing for young families", in effect from 2007 through 2012.
"By the end of this year, another 31 families will receive such certificates," said Nikolai Andreev, the head of the Elista Mayoralty.
"The young families may spend the received subsidies to pay for the purchased or built housing, repay a housing credit, or as an initial payment when purchasing an apartment," said Baatr Erdnyaev, Chairman of the Committee for Youth and Sports Matters of the Mayoralty.
According to his story, from the launch of the city target programme, housing subsidies have been granted to 239 Elista families. This year alone, 40 young families have received them.
Applicants for subsidies should meet certain criteria: the age of each spouse or parent in single-parent family should not exceed 35 years; and the family should have the incomes allowing the get the loan.
