In Moscow, Egle Kusaite's evidence read out at trial on Magmadovs' case

In the course of today's court session on the case of Chechen natives Apti and Aishat Magmadov, the Moscow Regional Court listened to testimony of Egle Kusaite. Earlier, the defence has filed a motion about announcement of that testimony.

According to Musa Khadisov, the lawyer of Apti and Aishat Magmadov, Egle Kusaite "has definitely revealed the entire background of the case."

"She answered about 30 questions posed to her. Egle said that it had been her initiative to come to Russia, that no one had forced her to come, and that the money sent to her had been intended for her trip and she planned to give it back," said the lawyer Musa Khadisov.

The court session lasted for about three hours, and it was held behind closed doors. The next court session is to continue listening to the testimony of Egle Kusaite.

The "Caucasian Knot" has yet not obtained any comments of the prosecutors due to the fact that the court sessions on the case are held behind closed doors.
