Three supporters of Alla Djioeva detained in North Ossetia

In North Ossetia, three confidants of Alla Djioeva have been arrested on criminal charges. Her election office treats the charges as fabricated.

Among those arrested is Soslan Kokoev, editor-in-chief of the opposition website of South Ossetia "Uasamonga". A local law enforcement source said that he is suspected of possessing a huge amount of drugs.

"Kokoev was detained on December 2, but later released on recognizance not to leave; however, on December 5, the Supreme Court of North Ossetia overturned the decision, and Kokoev was taken into custody," the "Interfax" quotes the source.

Besides, Taimuraz Gagloev and Robert Tabuev were detained. They are suspected of involvement in the murder of Vladikavkaz Mayor Vitaly Karaev in 2008.

Meanwhile, as reported by Ellina Marzoeva, the spokesperson of Alla Djioeva's office in Vladikavkaz, all the detainees are Djioeva's election confidants. "These are the people who maintained everything here. We are sure that all the charges were fabricated, and these people were detained for political reasons," said Marzoeva as quoted by the RIA "Novosti".

According to her story, the detention of the editor-in-chief of the website "Uasamonga" was caused by his interview about the situation in South Ossetia that he had given to one of popular mass media.
