In Rostov-on-Don, two voters claim that other people have voted for them

Two voters of the electoral precinct No. 1736, located in the Soviet District of Rostov-on-Don, claim that, when they received the ballots on December 4, they had to sign for other people, since other people had already signed in front of their surnames. All materials on the violation were brought to the Election Commission of the Rostov Region for examination.

"When I came to my electoral precinct to vote, they gave me a book to sign in, as usually. However, I was surprised, since in front of my surname some passport data had been written and a signature had been written. And the signature looked like 'Kuzmin and check mark'. Kuzmin is my surname; however, my signature is absolutely different. When I asked what that meant, I was told that it was a technical error and I was asked to put my signature below, in front of the other surname. It turns out that I have voted for someone else, and someone else has voted for me," Andrei Kuzmin, a resident of the Soviet District of Rostov-on-Don, told about the incident to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

He has added that his friend came with him and the situation repeated.

Alexander Karmanov, an observer from the CPRF (Communist Party of the Russian Federation), has explained the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that the data in front of the surnames of Ivakhnov and Kuzmin indicated that they had received absentee ballots. However, according to Kuzmin and Ivakhnov, they received no absentee ballots.

"A forged signature stood in front of the surname of Kuzmin; according to the voter, his signature is different," said Alexander Karmanov. He has added that the chairperson of the electoral precinct commission offered him money reward for his silence of the revealed violation.

"Chairperson of the commission No. 1736 asked me whether the incident could be reconciled with money, I replied in the negative. I tried to insinuate myself into her confidence, and she told me that she had herself filled in four absentee ballots for the people who should not have come at the election. However, since two of them have already come, she will have to rewritten their data on absentee ballots for the people listed above or below the lists of voters and to visit them and ask them not to vote. We together with the chairperson came to visit one of those voters at home; however, the voter was not at home," said Alexander Karmanov.

When asked by the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent to show documents that had raised doubts among voters, the chairperson of the electoral precinct commission No. 1736 answered in the negative, referring to the instructions of the Territorial Election Committee of the Soviet District of Rostov-on-Don.
