CPRF: voters in Kabardino-Balkaria complain that they could not find themselves in voters' lists

In Kabardino-Balkaria, the course of the election of deputies to the State Duma of the Russian Federation revealed that many voters had not received voting tickets, which usually indicated the address of the electoral precinct. As a result, many voters did not know where to go for voting. Besides, in some cases, voters arrived at electoral precincts and failed to find themselves in the lists. Nevertheless, according to the official information, the election was conducted without violations.

"The election headquarters of the republic' committee of the CPRF (Communist Party of the Russian Federation) has received many phone calls claiming that the lists omitted a lot of people over 60 years old," Larisa Shugalei, the second secretary of the republic' committee of the CPRF, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent. She has added that the same fact was observed at the previous election.

The MP Zairat Shikhalieva, the first secretary of the republic' committee of the CPRF, was among those people who were forgotten by the voting lists.

The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent has visited the detention facility of Nalchik, where equipment for electronic voting was installed. Suspects voted in the presence of the staff members of the detention facility, who told them which buttons to push.

One of the suspects, who voted for the "Edinaya Rossiya" (United Russia) Party, when asked whether he himself decided to make a choice or he was directed, replied: "I made a decision myself."

According to exit polling, at the electoral precinct No. 100 in the village of Khasanya, which has also been visited by the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent, people voted for the "Edinaya Rossiya" Party and for the CPRF.

Askhat Gaev, a resident of the village of Khasanya, explained his decision to vote for the CPRF by the fact that he had been "a communist for all the life and remained a communist." "Today, I do not see anything better than it was under communism," he has noted.

Saladin Zhaboev said that he had never been a communist. He has voted for the "Edinaya Rossiya" Party, since, according to him, under the communist regime, "you could not build even a toilet without permission, and now you can build whatever you want."

Magomed Toguzaev, a resident of the village of Khasanya, said that, after weighing all the "pros" and "contras", he decided to vote for the "Edinaya Rossiya" Party.

"Khasanya was often put in the list of unfortunate settlements. I will tell you straight - people suffered from that, since checkpoints were established and all kinds of searches were conducted in the houses. In recent years, thank God, the situation was quiet. I believe that we should consider those who work, who lead the country. Another thing is how they lead us. There are things that I, as a Russian citizen, do not accept; however, I can do nothing, I still have to support my country and my native land," Magomed Toguzaev said.

After processing of the data from 90 percent of electoral precincts, the "Edinaya Rossiya" Party with 81 percent of the votes takes the lead in the election to the State Duma in the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR). The CPRF with 18 percent of vote is on the second place. Other parties gained less than one percent. According to the information as of 6:00 p.m. of December 4, voter turnout reached 90.9 percent. According to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) in the KBR, the election was conducted without violations of the law, the "RIA Novosti" reports.
