Truck traffic resumed through "Verkhni Lars" checkpoint

In the morning on December 3, the trucks, which had been blocked at the "Verkhni Lars" checkpoint, began moving with the help of the tow cars provided by the Georgian party.

Let us remind you that as of December 1, about 200 trucks with cargos for Armenia continued to be blocked on the road leading to the "Verkhni Lars" checkpoint, on the Russian-Georgian border. The Armenian and Georgian authorities were forced to set up a joint commission to address the problem.

By the order of the Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia Ramaz Nikolaishvili, tow cars were sent to the "Verkhni Lars" checkpoint to help to eliminate the jam, the "PanArmenian.net" reports.

The automobiles still blocked at the checkpoint, because of heavy snow and blizzard, will be soon displaced after establishment of a joint Armenian-Georgian enterprise to solve the problems on this road.

At the moment, there are discussions underway between the Armenian and Georgian specialists on the subject, the "News.am" reports.
