Stavropol Territory hosts action "White Tape" in support of invalids

Local activists are distributing white ribbons to passers-by as a sign of support of people with disabilities. The action dated to the International Day of Disabled Persons is organized by social workers, students and schoolchildren.

As a sign of support and solidarity with invalids, people are advised to attach white ribbons to their clothes, bags and car antennas. According to the organizers, the white ribbons should remind us that we must take care of people with disabilities.

"For sponsors' money we bought 60 meters of white tape and made 300 ribbons. On December 2, with the help of pupils and students, we'll disseminate them in villages and farms of our district," the "Interfax-South" quotes Svetlana Galushko, deputy director of the state budgetary social service institution "Levokumsk Complex Centre for Social Services".

On the day of the start of the "White Tape" action, on December 2, the city of Stavropol held the territorial final of the creativity festival of children with disabilities. All the young participants of the gala concert were the winners of the city and district contests; they all received presents, the website of the administration of the Stavropol Territory informs.
