Residents of South Ossetia to take part in State Duma elections

Tomorrow, on December 4, the residents of South Ossetia, who also have Russian citizenship, will vote at the elections to the Russian State Duma.

In Tskhinvali, voting will take place at the Consular Section of the Russian Embassy to South Ossetia. Polling stations were also opened in the country's regions: in the settlements of Dzau, Znaur and Leningori. Residents of the Tskhinvali District will be able to vote in the building of secondary school No. 9 in Tskhinvali.

The voting will take place on showing Russian internal national passport or Russian foreign passports, owned by 90 percent of the population of the country.

It is also expected that the polling stations of South Ossetia will be attended by some 4000 Russian militaries along with their families. Russian soldiers stationed in South Ossetia will vote in their military bases.
